Piano Day

kategoria: koncerty

Po raz drugi międzynarodowe święta fortepianu - Piano Day odbędzie się
w Krakowie. Serdecznie zapraszam na nadchodzące koncerty 27 i 29 marca

March 27th
8 pm at Strefa (St.Tomasz street)

Kuba Płużek - a pianist and a composer, nominated for Fryderyk 2015, is the colorful face to modern jazz.

His concerts leave a strong experience of unrestricted expression, built on solid foundations of perfect knowledge of historical legacy. His debut is comparable to the achievements of his colleagues from the USA. Despite his young age, Kuba has a very rich musical resume.
A defiant figure of the music community and at the same time a daring virtuoso who rips and breaks phrases and intuitively keeps his balance on a thin line of maintaining harmony, as well as opens the world of the top jazz to the audience.

Tickets: 20 pln available at Strefa.

March 27th
8:30 pm at Scena Supernova (Gazowa street)

Oskar Cenkier is a Cracow-based pianist, a musician who connects the classic piano sounds with keyboard effects and electronic music.

He is heavily inspired by Nils Frahm's post-classical minimalism, but also the romantic influences of film music and progressive rock, as well as Godspeed You! Black Emperor's deep atmosphere and wild cavalcades. His concerts are based on a variety of emotions and a powerful dose of improvisation, what makes each of them so unpredictably individual.

Tickets: pay what you want after the show.

March 29th
7 pm at Infra Sound Studio (Sarego street)

On the exactly 88th day of year 2018, on 29 March Michał Gajlikowski's debut will take place in Infra Sound Studio (ul. Sarego 7).

The decision to reveal himself on the stage came as a natural next step after organising more than one hundred concerts throughout Poland and cooperating with extraordinary musicians.
He describes his music as emotional improvisation and the compositions have lives of their one thanks to various inspirations.

After the solo recital, the stage will be taken over by Nikodem Dybiński's quartet:
Iza Płachta (violin), Tomasz Szewczyk (bass), Piotr Szałajko (drums).

The band will perform instrumental compositions written by Tomasz Szewczyk.

In the last year's Piano Day edition Nikodem performed a synthesizer-piano program.
